Rami Bar Maor Winery

Rami Bar-Maor Winery is a small but rapidly growing winery that was founded in 2009. The first wine they released commercially was a Cabernet Sauvignon from the Tel-Fares vineyard in 2009, after just two years of experimentation. Thanks to rave reviews from friends and wine critics, production increased from 850 bottles in 2009 to 10,000 bottles in 2012. Alongside Cabernet Sauvignon, they now produce several varieties including Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Merlot. Located at Moshav Giv’at Nili in the Alona Region, this winery is recognized for its high-quality grapes and is considered one of the top wineries in Israel.

Rami Bar-Maor started his wine journey in 1998 while working at “Batzir 98 Wine Store and Restaurant” in downtown Haifa. With 300 different wines to taste, Rami was hooked. Despite having a degree in architecture and working as a respected architect, he decided to follow his passion for wine. In 2007, he interned at the well-known Margalit Winery. During his time there, he studied grape growing and wine production at Tel-Hai College, earning a Cellar-Master diploma.

Rami Bar-Maor’s wines come from vineyards that have a close contractual relationship with the winery, ensuring top-quality grape production. These vineyards are ideal for growing grapes, each with unique conditions like soil type, drainage, microclimate, altitude, and the right variety clone and rootstock.

Their offerings include Cabernet Sauvignon, a blend, and Syrah. The wines from Rami Bar-Maor Winery are known for their vitality, richness, and a long, delicious finish.

You can enjoy Rami Bar-Maor wines at the winery itself or find them in selected restaurants and discerning wine stores known for elegant, high-quality wines.
